As part of the implementation of the program for the development of civil engineering, «Engineering Plant named after S.M. Kirov» JSC from the beginning of this year launched the development of several large projects.

Among them:

1. Localization of trolleybuses for the needs of the Akimat of Almaty.

SKD assembly is planned at the production facilities of the plant. As part of cooperation with Skoda Transportation to reduce the carbon footprint and implement the ESG program, the company is working on an initiative to upgrade and expand the trolleybus fleet with new environmentally friendly trolleybuses. This will reduce dependence on imports and increase the share of local content in finished products.

2. A joint project with the Karaganda foundry and machine-building plant to restore the steel casting line to cover the needs of the main customer represented by Kazakhmys LLP. Also, in 2023, a framework agreement was signed with KLMZ for the production of products and injection moldings;

3. Production of special barriers and special barriers for the needs of the SGO RK and other law enforcement agencies.

The technological capabilities of production at the enterprise make it possible to manufacture products of a high degree of complexity. In turn, the focus on the active development of civil production will increase the number of jobs and contribute to the further development of the machine-building industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
